this week has been pretty hectic so to say . . . .
but this morning was supposed to be a good morning . . . .
On our way to school, all three of us in the car . . . . Breeze Plymouth . . . a small tiny thing it is too . . . . singing along to Try Honesty by Billy Talent. We had previously got out of a traffic light and stopped again (there were people doing constriction on the road and was traffic) apparently the line from the traffic light before the one we were at was long . . . . and right when we hit the chorus- within a mere 2 seconds- all of a sudden a light and short skid of tires made a high pitch noise and there was an impact from the back of our car.
I was sitting in the back passenger seat and received the first blow and the hardest hit. Kitty, who was driving, had both of her hands on the steering wheel and thankfully that kept her head from colliding into the wheel- though the air bag didn't come out the car behind us didn't hit us hard enough. Lily, my sister, was sitting in the front passenger seat had no idea what was going on. She had thought that Kitty had hit her on the back of the head when she was looking through the window since she was falling asleep. Sometimes I worry about my sister's obliviousness.
So there we are sitting in the car. The radio had turned off in an instant. Kitty was freaking out and frequently asking if we were alright, Lily was still dumbfounded, and I was silent . . . . but what was running through my head was, "Shouldn't I call the police? Do we get out of the car? Can we go to school now? Are we going to make it to school? It is just four blocks from here . . . . ::checks watch:: O_O we are going to be so late! Does the school the school even take car accidents as an excuse for being tardy? . . . . No they don't . . . . shit!"
We pulled to the side of the road into a parking lot. When I looked at the car that pulled up next to us(the one that hit us) I was about to die. The car was a Toyota 4Runner- and if you are car and physics freak like me you would know that if the person was going any faster I would have been dead, Kitty and Lily would have really bad injuries, and the whole back of the car would have been totaled. Though would have guessed that before with common sense.
The woman got out of her car and so did we. We were all ok for the moment. She had apologized and said it was her fault. We looked at the back of our car and found that the bumper had dented and the one of the sides had popped out with a couple scratches. Whereas the woman's front bumper had totally cracked and was at the point of falling apart. Kitty called her mother to report what had happened and that we were all fine. Her mother called the city patrol and my father. Soon everything was sorted out. The police officer and Kitty's mother came. The Woman was found at fault. She had gone on to her appointment she was in a hurry for. And we had waited for out father's to come since they were worried too.
When they arrived my shoulder blade started to sting, almost like a big needle was going through it. Lily and Kitty said that their necks were hurting also. James(Kitty's father) suggested we go to see his chiropractor, which wasn't too far from where we were. We all drove to see Dr. Stewart, with the exception of Tina(Kitty's mom) who had to go to work. We found out that we all had whiplash. The check up on all three of us took about three to four hours. First he had asked us questions. Then he took some X-rays. Next he did some funky stuff to our spines. And finally hooked each of us to some muscle stimulators. I had fallen asleep during that procedure. Man it was like a massage.
Only my sister and I returned to school and Kitty drove home. She wasn't feeling too good this morning either.
The doctor said that two out of the three of us has it worse than the other. But nonetheless we three have to see him 3 times a week for the next 3 months or more. Too much activity was going to make our backs worse. What a bummer. I guess I need to do something about carrying a 25 to 40 pound book bag up and down a three story building all day . . . . .
I did some research and it said that after one experiences a whiplash it usually takes a few hours for your back or neck to stiffen or the affects to take its toll, which is happening to me right now. I just hope that tomorrow it won't get any worse, which it most likely will.
Well until then . . . . I will suffer once again from a damn car accident . . . .

Alright, as I have said before we have to se the chiropractor for the next few months three times a week. Today we got got see our X-rays we took on Wednesday. From the looks of it we all got it pretty bad. Our necks does not have the natural concave curvature from the back of the neck. But this is what really got me scared, the picture of my neck was totally wack. It was practically in a "S" shape and is definitely the reason why my neck hurts and my chest stings from all that unnecessary pressure in the wrong direction.
When we looked at our spines we were shocked as well. It seems that our vertebra has shifted a bit towards the middle. Then we saw our lower backs. All of our lower backs also did not have the natural concave curvature. This explains why I have been having lower back pains lately. It was nothing too drastic as my neck, but was still disturbing.
After therapy I always feel rejuvenated. Though in a couple of hours the feeling will disintegrate. I guess it takes the muscle and bones some getting used to when they are pushed back into the proper place. Getting up in the morning is hard, especially since I have to get off my floor mattress. I am starting to sound like an elderly person, not to mention feeling like one. Lately all I have been doing is complaining about my back. I find the irony irritating and at the same time funny for the trueness of it all. Surely the next weeks will start to look up and flourish.
